DDay was two weeks before Christmas 2010 so I’m definitely a member of the class of 2011. It amazes me that it’s been this long - a lifetime ago. At the same time, every once in a while it feels like yesterday. I owe an awful lot to the SI community. It was my lifeline for a long time. I don’t post too much anymore, but read and try to give an opinion or advice when I think it may help from an old timer’s perspective. I hosted a GTG one year and it was fabulous to get to meet people in person. I hope we can get back to being able to gather soon.

As far as my life is concerned, things are humming along. My kids are a lot older and we’ve been through a lot but have come out the other side a lot wiser. No significant relationship yet, but I’m not sure that’s in the cards. I’ve been blessed with strong friendships and a mom who has been nothing but supportive from the jump so I’m surrounded by love in those ways. My ex is exactly like he always was. A covert narcissistic who spends his life trying to prove that he’s a good guy. He’s still with the OW (lovingly referred to as the slunt) and she’s a non entity in our lives at this point. Their attempt to blend a family failed miserably. It is what it is. We’re not one big happy family, but I’m polite and haven’t stabbed him in the eyeball - I see that as a major victory.

I am a member of class of 2011. Our DD was end of May 2011. I joined in Nov, our 2nd D day was Dec. I continue to read and try to comment when I think it helps. He has read here. However, did not join. He went to SA for a while. He continues with his IC. We also did MC.
