So SI is the 'only' social media I have.

I'm a strongly opinionated person and I never would have lasted on social media anyway, I would have been banned the first week. Also, I never understood people wanting to share every minute of their day with other people, which would seem to result in giving total strangers a window into one's life.

I do consider SI to be social media and I think a lot of people give a window to their lives for total strangers here, so though there are some major differences, there are similarities to other social media platforms.

I actually like Facebook though I also have some issues with the way it is run. I laugh about those who post most everything about their day, when they get up and when they are going to bed.

I keep most of my opinions to myself there because I realize how everything is on FB. I use it far more to share pictures and to see the pictures and friends and family news, and I'm not willing to give that up. I find it far more positive than negative. Very rarely do I get into controversy there but will admit someone unfriended me once because I made a comment under her post that showed a Diet Coke Can and claimed it was poison, just to express my opinion that I don't think it is so bad (admitted water is much better for you). I guess if she had to unfriend me for that, oh well.
