Here's hoping, Coachdig! But I'm not sure how I will know since I'm pretty successful at the NC.

Sorry to hear what you're going thru man. I like how I "get" to go to counseling while she sits at home like nothing happened. "How was your session today?"

PRNDL, I know exactly how you feel mate.
I get to spend time crying in the shower or trying to stifle tears while she sleeps soundly beside me. While she is now horrified that the A took place, I am the one who has had to fight like crazy to keep our marriage together until the unicorn fantasy fog lifted.
I had to sit up late devouring books on infidelity while she compartmentalised the whole thing as a 'mistake' that we could move on from.
They have momentary thrills and we get years of hell and distrust in the person who is meant to love us more than anything else in the world. It defies logic or fairness.
But as I have read, 'affairs are by nature, completely illogical.'

PRLDL,
I SO understand your anger. Your WW saying that she was angry that hiding her A took some of the enjoyment out of it? What a selfish bitch! Wow!
People can be so cruel. People can be so messed up. And life, most certainly, can be massively unfair.
But....people can also be amazing and loving, generous and kind. And life can be full of joy. Hang in there and someday you will see this again.

In the first weeks this question bothered me a lot.
Then an old saying hit me: "Life's wheel has many turns".
After that, I focused on my well being and happiness much more. It works.
