Alarm System Scams
Once again I learned the hard way. I spent a lot of money on a professional alarm system. I had door sensors and motion sensors...My ex continued to break in and for the life of me, I couldn't figure out how he got around the alarm system....It was cellular. It took my 15 year old child to figure it out. Almost all alarm systems use reed switches, which are magnetic. When a door is opened, the magnets are separated, which triggers an alarm. My son came to me one day and said he thought he could by-pass the system with a magnet. I told him to do it. We all went outside, me with my phone, and my son with a magnet out of one of his building sets...He walked right in. I waited for the alarm company to call me. They didn't. I drove to their office and told them their system could be breached with a simple magnet. The sale's person put his hands over his ears and said "Nah, nah...I don't want to hear that!" I'm sure he didn't. I am sure he already knew...These systems are JUNK and give us all a false sense of security. I do think maybe these systems will still discourage a druggie looking for a quick dollar, but if you have a stalker or are dealing with a NPD...They will be intent on getting into YOUR house...They will find this info online...I should have looked, before paying thousands of dollars on a junk system...Most companies use the same. Don't be me!

Please Be Aware...
Although most here are trying to gather evidence against a betraying spouse.... using the internet, GPS, VAR's, hidden cameras, hunting cameras etc....Please, please be aware, that although you may have just discovered evidence of you spouse's affair...The affair could have been going on for a very long time. Also...Very often there have been many affairs...One thing to remember, that in order for you to be betrayed, your spouse may already be using some or all of the above to monitor your life and wear-abouts, so that he/she can continue the affair, hopefully without being caught. Look around, cover your own tracks...Protect yourself. Sometimes these affairs get out of control and you could be in danger. The other person doesn't care 2 cents about you and would love for you to disappear as quickly as you wish he/she would. Protect your computer, keep your phone with you always...Right next to you. Search your own house for devices that record..Search your car for a GPS...If this is going on, it will also make it very difficult to catch your cheating spouse, as well as allow your spouse to make it look like you are sheer crazy. Everything posted in investigations could be going on in your own life and you wouldn't even know it. I learned the hard way!
