Help with Craig's List Bogus Ad

Recently, my cell phone was bombarded with sexting messages, including an erect penis image, as I was on my way to lunch with my daughter. Several per hour Friday and Saturday soliciting sex hookups, a few with reference to a CL posting which I eventually traced back to a Craig's List bulletin board ad. Most texts were overt sexual come ons some seemed vaguely threatening as if they deserved a response. I was confused since I had never used Craig's List in any capacity before (or any dating/meetup/personals site), and I had no idea how my phone number could have been published on a sex solicitation ad. After half a day of deleting the incoming requests for sex from my phone, I finally asked one texter where they had found the ad. He(?) sent the link "Lonely Woman Seeking a Man" wfm found on the Craig's List Personals.

I sent an email complaint to Craig's List with the particulars, and the ad was removed, eventually. But CL refused to apologize or explain how my phone number was in a bogus sex ad. I sent three emails, but they refused to respond to any of them. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has had a similar experience. I am considering changing my phone number since I am not sure how to assess the risk level. BTW, I am a man, not a woman.
