And remember Murphy is right. Nothing is so bad that it can't get worse!!!

Stick Vacuums

I am fed up tripping over vacuum cords and long hoses. So, I’ve decided to blow the budget and get a Dyson V10 Animal Stick vacuum. But, before I do, I just thought I’d ask if anyone has used these before and if they have any recommendations…..or if they think it’s a bad idea.
Thanks everyone.

What About Sidney???

Am I that OLD. Every star who has died recently has received accolades here with everyone expressing their condolences and saying how great they were. Betty White, Bob Saget, Meat Loaf etc.,
but….….what about Sidney Poitier.
He was such an icon in the industry and broke a lot of barriers. Plus, he was such a good actor and humanitarian. I don’t know about anyone else, but I think his death has left a huge void. Seems to me there are very few good ones left. Is there anyone who doesn’t remember the first time they saw, To Sir With Love. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m sad that he’s gone.

Survey

Okay, I’m sure I’m being paranoid, but after everything that’s gone down these last 16-18 months, who can blame anyone.

In Canada (Ontario) they are, finally, starting to open back up and I will be able to get my hair cut again. It’s been many, many months and I really need a haircut.

Today, my salon sent out a mass email explaining that they would be opening soon and they will call us to reschedule our missed appointments.

Now, here’s the catch…. I know, for certain, that my stylist will not get the vaccine. She has been very vocal about the virus and how it’s all a hoax. Nothing worse than the flu…happens every year and many people die from the flu each year and we don’t have lockdowns…etc…etc…etc. You get the picture.

I’m sure all the same protocols will be in effect…mask wearing….20% capacity BUT, I just don’t feel comfortable about it. Because it’s Canada, we cannot even ask if they’ve had the vaccination and I have to admit, I’m not happy about that.

So, I’m wondering how many people would be comfortable with this? Would it matter to you?

Book recommendations please

I posted on a different thread here, but I thought I'd try a separate post.

I am finally able to read again. I love reading but over the past 20 months, I have been unable to concentrate. It looks like I can now, so I was wondering if you all could recommend some good book. I just finished Mr Mercedes, by Stephen King, which was very good. I love it when he sticks to semi-normal stuff. He does it so well. But, I love all kinds of books. Fiction is my favourite. So, without further ado, has anyone read any great books lately???
