Just got it and almost half way through! It is an amazing book!! It is so unreal at all they went through, it is such a journey into her grief and despair. After I started it, I was so shocked at how little I knew about the story, and how much sympathy I had for the family of the murderers! It is a great read!

I just saw a bit of her being interviewed on TV. I did feel compassion for her. I respect that she grew to recognize her own bias (which most of us have) toward her our own child, wanting to blame someone or something when terrible things happen, but she ultimately chose to look at the truth about her son and his decisions for which nobody else can be blamed.

Before seeing that clip on TV, I could probably be accounted among those that judged her to some degree, never looking in this teenager's room, never really checking to see what he was up to, until it was far too late.

That's on my list of "Books to Read". Unfortunately, that list has been taken over by books about infidelity and rebuilding my self worth since DDay.

Is it inspirational at all? Or do you think it would just add to my depression?

Me: BS
Him: WH, 10 PA, 1 EA/PA, including PA with my sister
DDay 1: 8/2015
10 months of TT
Final DDay: 5/10/16, polygraph
Two DD, 4 and 11
I filed for D 6/16

The good thing about hitting Rock Bottom is there's nowhere to go but up.
