She was my absolute favorite author growing up. I read her novel for adults, Summer Sisters years ago.
I just finished her new adult novel, In the Unlikely Event. I was so thrilled to have a new one by her to read.
Anyone else read it?

The main character was a teenage girl so I almost felt like I was reading one of her young adult novels. I find her writing so easy to read and I really enjoy her. I liked it.

Authenticnow, I LOVED Judy Blume too! In fact, whenever I hear her name or see it in print like now, I just feel happy. She is one of those heroes I will never meet.
Thanks for the post. I am almost finished Harry Potter - the first book. He is around the same age as my oldest so I am really taken with him and the story.
I will have to check out Unlikely in the future.

Loosely based. She lived in the area during the time that the events happened.
I'm with you. I smile when I see any of her work or her picture. I'm even following her on twitter and I don't even do twitter I just needed an account for work

Going back to the book club thread, authenticnow, is this book going to generate a discussion? One of my book clubs chose it for this coming year. I, too, loved her books when I was growing up and put this one on my TBR pile.

I think I've read everything she's ever written... I just started this one a couple days ago. So far, so good!

Yes...so many hours reading and rereading those books. I would get so sad when I was finished with one! 
Skye, I think so. There aren't so many layers to dissect, but I think the plot and characters can make for a good discussion.

"Deenie" was actually really good for me... while I wasn't a model, I also have scoliosis and had to wear that dratted back brace for three years. It was nice to see I wasn't alone.

I loved Judy Blume growing up. I read everything by her the library carried!
I had no clue she wrote adult novels!
