Because SI is the "go to" place for everything, I came here first.

I bought a new car yesterday, and only when I was out driving last night did I realize there is a major dark spot in the console area that is annoying. The area where the climate control, and the radio knobs is completely dark. There is also no light in the glove box! WHY???

So I did some research and discovered that the "sport" model of this vehicle does not come with "ambient lighting" or the glove box light.

I looked on Youtube, and saw that I can install the glove box light, but can't do it without taking apart the whole dang car. And the ambient lighting that was shown as an option makes the car look too "tricked out."

So, I want to find a little LED light that I can maybe stick to the interior of the glove box and in an inconspicuous part of the climate control area. Any ideas? I like the car, wish I had thought of this one detail. Dang it.

You can find stick on led lights on Amazon.

No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There is only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to.

Thank you for your replies! I think I was able to find a solution for $11.00.

It's just the strangest thing to have such a dark car.

Congrats on your new car!!!

It's just the strangest thing to have such a dark car.

When I was test driving, I got into a car where the gears didn't light up. Luckily I drove in dusk so it was obvious. I asked the dealer how the heck you know you are in the right gear in the dark? He said you just get used to it.

I would think lights would be mandatory on some things....silly me
