The rugrat and I went to dinner and to Wal-mart. When I came home the back slider was open. I thought they stole my dog, but he got loose and one of the neighbors had him. They didnt take anything, just went through the cabinets in the family room and through my dresser drawers and sprayed my perfume..all over.
Im so pissed and scared. I opened the side door and when I walked in. I saw it. I grabbed the baby, backed out and called the cops. They jimmied the slider lock with a screwdriver?
My momma and step dad are here tonight and now Im left to wonder who the hell it was. It was probably the crazy pregnant whore. They didnt take anything. I had on sweats and tennis shoes. I left all of my jewelry, my electronics(bose, Ipad, Ipod)TV's, there was about 100 bucks in cash in my undie drawer.
Its like they wanted to scare me and it worked, I have the baby in bed beside me and the gun is loaded up high of course. I can't sleep and I am keeping it on the DL on FB..just incase someone slips up. I hate this.

Part of me hopes it her, but what if its just some random asshole?
I will get some security, some new locks. I grew up here. We never locked our doors on cars, houses..buildings. Now all of a sudden.
I cant imagine her doing a break and entering, but who the hell knows.
What weirds me out is they didnt take anything..not one thing. Just looked around and sprayed Inner Grace everywhere. The cabinets in the family room had picture albums...and my dresser drawers held jewelry boxes, lingerie. Creepy. Im so scared.

It has got to be the crazy preggo. Anyone else would have 1) taken something valuable (besides your sense of security in your own home) and 2) would not have sprayed your GD perfume all over. WTH?
What did the cops do? Did they fingerprint anything? How terrifying, she is nuts!

They fingerprinted the slider, the perfume bottle and the furniture touched. I live in the country so no one noticed a car. You can get through my house through the woods, but its a trek for a preggo.
They interviewed the neighbors, I told them about the PPO, they said they would talk to her.
My dog wasnt hurt..I was terrified he was dead until my neighbor came over with him. She said he had him about two hours..so they came in as soon as we had left.
She thought he broke out. I would think he opened the slider except for the stench of my perfume.
They think its probably her or someone for her. Since there are no break ins, ever here.
Great, just great. I guess I will just wait and see.

I think it would probably be her. Most logical (if burglars are logical
) people who try to break into a house are there to steal stuff. They make a mess, dumping out drawers and steal anything of value. Or they're teenage vandals, and they do stuff like dump out the flour etc.
I have never read a police report where the burglar came into the house and sprayed it with perfume and looked at photo albums.
no one saw a car, but I'll bet if you're in the country, everyone there has a 4-wheeler or ATV, don't they? Is it possible Ms. Crazy used an ATV to get to your house?
Are any of your photos gone? Like photos of you and ex? If he's cheating again, do you think she was looking for any evidence that he had been in your house?
If they find fingerprints, wouldn't they still have them on record from when she was arrested for assaulting you?

take a 2x2 and cut it to the width of the slider, use it to jam the door so unless you remove it no one can get in.
I had my house robbed several years ago and I know how vulnerable and violated it makes you feel.

definitely put a bar in the slider when you are home...
forget the gun, more guns are used on the ones they were meant to protect...
hairspray, bugspray, even a spray made from viniger and some water....sprayed directly to the eyes will buy you the time you need to get out...
if its not the person you suspect then it is someone else equally as dangerous...not taking anything and spraying the perfume is personal....
stay safe

A stout 1" dowel rod in the slider is a necessity. Very low tech, and won't hurt Teeny.
You might also want to consider some motion activated lighting (even though this was during the day). Also inexpensive, but scary as hell to an intruder wanna-be.
I hope they nail the bitch.

I am SO sorry you are going through this!
I can't imagine how terrified you must be.
You are dealing with a crazy nutbar, for sure.
Someone was talking about hairspray, etc as a defense for you.
Something I have at the store for protection is a big can of wasp and hornet spray.
It has a spraying distance of more than 10 ft. so you can be far away from a target and still hit it really strong. Getting hit with that in the face would be pretty bad for someone.
Just a suggestion as something inexpensive and easy to use and have around.
I hope that you get results quickly with the fingerprints.
Pain is inevitable; suffering is optional.

Oh, Carrie, so scary.
The dowels work on doors and windows (if they slide) also think of getting a nanny cam that works in dark.(can be inside of house but aimed at doors or main walk area.)
We were broke into many years ago, they trashed the house and stole things.
It was during daylight and a week later they broke in again.
We installed a security system.
Thankfully you didn't walk in when they were there.
The economy is so bad who knows, whorewife probably had something to do with it.

Carrie,
I hope the gun you have stored is stored LOADED. It does no good empty. You will not have enough time if you need it.
IMHO, this is almost certainly the work of the psycho preggo bitch. Or one of her accomplices.
The spraying of perfume is a very strange act. Like trying to send you some weird-ass message. Marking territory.
This to me shows an escalation. First the parking near you at work and stalking. Now a break-in.
You are dealing with a very sick fucking individual.
Take ALL due precautions, and be on you guard.
If you are able to get a carry permit, GET ONE. And keep a gun with you, in the car and wherever you are allowed to carry one.
The police cannot protect us. Most times, they call the coroner to collect the body and then investigate the crime after the fact. Do not rely on the cops to be able to stop someone who is determined.
