Facebook Dating and Secret Crush

humantrampoline posted 5/1/2019 09:22 AM

Facebook Wants to Know Which Friends You Want to Fuck - the title of the tech article in my news feed this morning introducing Facebook's new features. It sounds juvenile. Pre-infidelity I would have believed they were trying to attract a younger, single demographic. Now I think it's for their actual demographic- older and married - to hook up on the side.

/r/adultery finally got their digital upside-down pineapple. Thank you Mark Z and company for filling the void left by Craigslist and Backpage. (Sarcasm)

At least Facebook's security is crap. I'll be at my laptop munching on my popcorn when the outings come in six months.

Some mornings I want to hide in bed and cry.

wait... what??

What are the new features?

I've been pondering just dropping my FB account and now I'm just one step closer. UGH

PeaceLily210 posted 5/1/2019 09:35 AM

UGH, I just did a search for it. Good grief!!

I love using FB to keep up with family and friends that are not local. It's getting ridiculous though.

Facebook is a tool of the devil. Even the local news guy commented about how many marriages this new feature would destroy. It sure made cheating possible for my WH.

Honestly FB is a huge trigger for me as well since all of my WH sexting with AP happened via secret messager (which I didn't even know was a thing). I may drop it now, too.

As so many affairs start at the workplace or the gym does that mean they are tools of the devil as well?

Perhaps the common denominator is the WS not having the ability to know right from wrong and living in alignment with that belief and not Facebook, craigslist, the workplace, the gym or anything else.

The crush feature is part of the FB dating app which they have to sign up for separate from FB.

Robert, so does it show up in your FB profile/account info anywhere, and how is it linked to FB? Any info would be useful, just something else to worry about. Thx.

Amen to that.

Secret Crush? Are we suddenly in 8th grade again? When I was of that age I used to hear some of the girls ask "So, who are you in love with this week?" They would flirt with a boy "fall in love" and "go steady" with him for about 2 weeks, then suddenly break up, then be "in love" with a different boy. Rolling my eyes...

If your going to cheat you are going to cheat. Period.

Unfortunately it is now just a bit easier.

FakeBook, secret apps, Twitter, Instagram etc. all ways to cheat. Bars, offices, workplaces, gyms, churches - all places to cheat with affairs and/or NSA sex.

No place is safe or immune.

Anyone who wants to cheat will find a way.

It is sad that the world is making it so damn easy. And that people are relishing in it.

Yup...too easy. Especially for EA's now with the secret apps, the "delete" button, and the ever popular burner phone to keep in touch with the honey.
