User Topic: My thesis chair died today

I just found out through the grapevine that my PhD thesis chair died today. He was a rock for me not just with getting that stupid thesis done, but personally too. Held my hand a lot through my first run in with learning I was married to a dirtbag. Really, my whole grad school experience was characterized by my relationship with him.

I feel awful too because I hadn''t responded to his last email and ... damn.

Together: 18 years now (both MDs)
OW: meh so what 40s PhD
DD1: 10/30/11EA; DD2: 11/10/11 Had ONS; TT until 12/26/11; broke NC 6/12; NC again 7/12; R-ish

I'm sorry to hear that. The connections we make in our schooling can be intense and they are kind of like a second family.
