What is the point of this?

AFAIK, isn't it some kind of porn thing?

Why manscape if your wife prefers a hairy man?

Just remembered this from years ago.

He was manscaping and when I asked him why he said it was because he gets itchy and irritated in hot weather.

Having been shaved for childbirth and surgery, I call BS. Shaving only made me itchier.

This was about the time I started to really not like sex anymore.

Never got a straight answer on anything-lies and denial every time.

Sorry loveisareddress, I can't shed any light as to why he's doing this if he knows you like him hirsute. Maybe he's doing it for someone else? I hate to say it, but it's possible.

I trim down below because oral sex is pretty high on my list of what I enjoy and if I expect a woman to go to work on The Emperor I also don't expect my partner to have to do so with a mouthful of hair.

I'm also relatively hairless on my body, so trimming the hedge just seems appropriate. Were I married to a woman who openly stated that she liked me dressed for the bush, clippers would never touch my body.

I've never asked my husband to trim or shave but he suddenly came back from his last trip (where he cheated) with his parts manscaped. He said he did it for me but he looked down sheepishly and brought it up himself. I doubt I'd even have noticed if he hadn't brought it up. Six months later he admitted to sleeping with someone. She shaved so I believe he returned the favor. He swears still that it was for me. I don't believe him.

My husband does (as do I) but started years before his affair, more for my preference. I prefer oral without the intrusion of hair. Personal preference. I've trimmed the lady garden since before I was married. When I was pregnant I had him help.

I asked how his AP's reacted to his grooming habits and they were surprised. I also asked about their grooming habits. It varied.

I trim but don't shave it all the way off. (I did it once and I felt kind of silly, got horrible ingrown hairs and my balls turned into sandpaper for my inner thighs after a day or so)
I do it because it isn't as hot and I don't like the way I look with a '70s bush.

I prefer that my H do it if he wants me down there. Fortunately, he prefers it also. He does tell me that it's cooler/not as sweaty that way. He also trims his chest hair and shaves his arm pits - especially in the summer. I thought the armpit thing was weird at first. But it really is better than a hairy sweaty mess.

My H started doing it a long time before any of his As. And he cuts my grass too - not clean, that does itch.

Overall, I don't consider it a porn thing as much as a hygiene thing. I agree though. A big change without discussing with you first could be a sign of an A.

I do it for me and nobody else. It's a hygiene thing. Even if my partner told me not to do it, I'd still do it. It's what I prefer and it's my body so I must feel comfortable in it.

Shaving only made me itchier.
I've never understood that. Mine doesn't itch at all, but I guess that's probably because I rarely ever let it grow back in. I shave the kitty every day or two when I shave my legs.

H shaves his balls, and the base of the tree truck. It makes oral sex much nicer, and I love the silky feel of shaved balls. Sorry TMI.

Personally I do think it is cooler and more hygienic, especially in the extremely hot muggy climate we live in.

I do it for both aesthetic reasons and hygienic reasons. It does keep things cooler and less sweaty down there. I started trimming my chest when it started poking up over my collar.

But on the other hand my fWS stopped trimming after our DS was born and didn't start again until she was in the middle of the A.

Glad I'm not the only one that likes shaved balls. On my H, lol. He also shaveds his armpits, again, for me, long before his A's.

I always trimmed, not bare (did it for XWH once and hated the feeling, the itch). XWH on the other hand never trimmed his nether region until suddenly...he went porn star bare at the height of his first A and I hated it. I liked his chest hair; I liked a trimmed but not bare groin. He did go overboard and shaved the hair off his forearms (he got a tattoo sleeve on one arm, and thought his arms should both be hairless). The porn star bare should have been a clue to me.

This is a sore spot for me.

WS manscaped, said he did it for me, I didn't ask him to.

WS asked me to trim the bush, I did.

I just feel that red flags start waving if it is out of the blue.

My WH would trim once and awhile. One time he did come back from a trip completely shaved and I knew it wasn't for me and told him so. This was when he denied he was cheating. So sudden changes in manscaping with no good reason I think is suspicious. Why would they care if you don't care? Because someone else does. Who else sees their private parts?
