Ex is in PR with his best friend. He's been there for 8 our of the 11 days he left for. This is the last place he remembers being truly happy with me. Our last trip together I confessed 5 days after coming back. It's where my family is from and I love my island, I planned on going back often with him and showing him everything. Hes gone to most places I wanted to show him and stayed at a hotel 1 block from were we stayed. I was in pain when he left, I was lonely (in house separation), and I cried a lot for things lost. It lasted a day and a half before I too myself ok pity party over, grow the fuck up. Ive been okay since then. Did my laundry, cleaned up the house, my bff is coming over tomorrow, cooked everyday and worked. I was okay a did not fall apart. In fact he called me 3 days in asking if I was ok and wondering why I'd yet to call. I was surprised and told him I didn't want to disturb him on vacation. I personally see this as progress. I can be okay with just me.

Unagie, I have felt that you stay stuck because of your relationship with xbf. I think the distance is very good for you and just what you need. IMO, you need to keep it up even when he is back from PR.

I'm glad you continue to make progress.

This is really great progress.

I have to ask, are you working on an exit plan?

Once BH and I hiked to the top of Yosemite Falls, which is some insane vertical distance of a few thousand feet. It was serious upward trudging. BH had done it before and even without his assurances I knew the experience at the top would be amazing.

But. There were sure times when I needed to turn around and look back at where I had been, how tiny the valley floor was looking, identify trees I had passed earlier, and think "Wow, I've accomplished something just making it this far." Those little breaks help fuel my desire to make it to the top for an even more amazing view and experience.

I'm having that experience right now on your behalf. Vicariously enjoying the view of the very real and amazing progress you have made since you arrived here at SI.

Where is Hufi's slow clap pic when we need it?

Thanks for all the replies. I will keep it up. TG to be honest no. I was and am working on a get myself out of extreme debt plan. Financially living together is the best for me and the more I grow and know myself the more I realize I am going to be okay no matter what life brings me.
