I took tonight off (in exchange for all the OT I've been putting in lately) to go on a hike that was cancelled due to weather--that never happened. I went for a hike at a local state park and saw an ovenbird--a first for me (life bird ). I bought myself a piece of salmon, a sweet potato and steamed some vegies. Now I'm vegging too

Tomorrow is wide open, but I am having a 90-minute massage in the evening.

Sunday I'm going birding with the club I belong to. I only went with them once before in November, so I'm hoping to meet some nice people.

I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.

Tonight is birthday dinner with my now 19 year old son and his brother. Oh dear god, where did the time go? I'm not old enough to have kids this old.

Tomorrow is the day SO arrives and moves in. The rest of the weekend will be all about getting him rested and ready for starting his new job on Monday.

Worked late tonight.

Tomorrow will be yoga and more work from home (we're doing an IT upgrade this weekend).

Sunday, clean, cut grass, and hang with the herd.

Going to see "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead" tomorrow at the local amphitheatre with my best friend. With tasty snacks and bevvies. It'll be chilly, though. Curse you, middle-of-May!

I have a date with a guy from OLD. We have similar passions and get along great on the phone. We talked till 3 am one night. He lives 2 hrs away and is coming to watch me play soccer. I have tons of friends at soccer so he's getting thrown right in. I'm really excited and a bit nervous. My middle daughter has prom tomorrow and my oldest is getting lots of awards from her community college on Sunday. It's so busy and exciting!

Long weekend here. DS is working today, and my sis may drop by with her 3 littles, but other than that, no plans. Cleaning/decluttering house. Catching up on sleep. Trying to figure some things out.

I'm down with what appears to be yet another bout of Giardia. Sick of getting sick, and should have brought way more pepto than I did.

On two wheels for the rest of the week (I took some time off for the first time since she left).

Planning a week of searching out hole in the wall BBQ joints, greasy spoon diners (where AMAZING food is often found!), and shady looking honky-tonks for a cold beer and REAL music.

I'm gonna have me a TIME!

Diners Drive-ins and Dives road trip? Where do I sign up?

I'm on two wheels with pedal power only. We're scheduled to have intermittent showers so will be doing some walking instead.

Last night at the wine bar for squash risotto, which I never make at home, with sauteed mushrooms and many glasses of riesling. Took my Danish friend who is a picky eater and she managed to insult my beloved Dublin bartender by asking if the wine had been opened for more than 72 hours.

He was great, came back with "You've never been here before, have you?" and proceeded to explain how he does the business while I cringed in the corner and pretended to disown her. I mean this place is the most hip happening jammin' joint in town, always packed after 6:00 pm, and I'm sure they go through truckloads of wine every single night of the week. Damn girl!

Friends coming in from the mainland for the night, we're going to hit the tapas bar and then the gourmet pizza joint to watch hot men covered in flour working their buns off.

Tomorrow we'll have sushi lunch and check out the museum before they head home. The Vikings are here (big hoop la about this exhibit) and the National Geographic wildlife photography show as well, so it will be awesome.
