It is fairly obvious that the little thing has been on the street for a while. He was starving, dehydrated, and his legs (and possibly his back) had been broken at some point in his life. His back is curved and his legs are very weak. The first night he was with us, he couldn't even hold up his head let alone walk. Now he's walking (albeit like a very drunken sailor), "talking", and getting to be a downright sassy 4lb bundle!
Obviously the little bugger had grown on us, so we're keeping him. So help us name him!
Hubby had dubbed him "Fugly", but we need something a bit more permanent.
Notice my hand behind his head. He's itty bitty.

He really is a sweet little guy.
His tail is starting to wag furiously when we get home and he's started trying to play with us when he's awake.
I believe that dogs should have "people" names. So....
Mel ?Carlos? Jorge?
I'm really working the Latino names...
My son suggested "Pedro" or "Taco" (short for Taco Bell), but I think not, LOL!
It is hard to not like this little guy. He's a survivor.
Cujo. Cos he's bad-ass.

But I really like Festus and Cujo!!
To "steal" from Williesmom post in another thread, he's starting to let down a little bit of his walls. When that little tail gets going, you can't help but smile.
I think it's a Japanese word for small or mini. It's a slang word for meaning small too.
He's a gorgeous little guy! We rescued a kitten that was barely a week old, weighed 4 oz, and was pretty much dying. 5 years later she is moody, feisty, and weighs about 14 lbs. She has a ridiculously small head and an enormous body. She too came at a bad time but the timing couldn't have been more perfect for us.
Enjoy your new baby!
I love, love, LOVE the sentiment of the name, but can anyone confirm that meaning (and spelling)?
My daughter is a HUGE anime/manga fan, so that name would definitely resonate with her (and it rolls off the tongue).
