We broke a record here in Detroit overnight. It snowed almost 3 inches and that was enough to put us over the all-time snowfall for any year since records started being kept. That goes back to 1880.
We now have a new record of 94.8 inches. I know that many of you get much more than that--but that's a lot here. I've never seen this much in a season--and I'm no spring chicken.

Umm--horray? I don't think so. Just melt dammit! I was just starting to like the brown grass too. It was 70 here 2 days ago.

I've had enough. Thank you Mother Nature.

(((WG))))

I feel just like you. It just sleeted and flurried here yesterday, but brother that was enough to piss me off.

All my daffodils, and other spring flowers look very very sad this morning.

All I have to say is this better be it, because I can't take any more cold. I should be able to go crappie fishing without getting frostbite by now.

I think it will be a few more weeks before I can even think about that around here the way things are going

Snow. Schnee. Neige. Nieve. Nope, I don't like it in any other language, either. Schnee = Scheiße, even in Swahili. It's snowing here today.

Lynn,

I think the word snow--in any language--is an obscene four-lettered word. But what the hell do I know

We're getting pouring rain right now. My son left for the bus stop without an umbrella because (at the time) it was only sprinkling. Then it poured on him. I drove to the bus stop to bring him an umbrella.

We're under a flood watch all day and the CT river is pretty swollen right now.

All that said, I'll take the rain over the snow any day.

I hope all your snow melts soon.

Warehouse guy, a couple of years ago I got caught in a surprise blizzard, driving I-75 South towards Toledo from Detroit. Something like 11 inches of snow in a very few hours. The bad part - I was driving my little convertible, very low to the ground and it could have been compared to trying to drive a go-cart through a huge snow bank. I just couldn't get ANYWHERE safe. The exits couldn't even be seen to get off the interstate and the huge trucks were moving and slinging snow and ice. I thought I was going to surely die. Finally I was helped off the interstate and managed to get my car to a truck stop at Warren. I stayed there two days until the roads were cleared.

Always residing in Oklahoma and Texas, I can definitely outrun and hide from tornadoes but that Michigan snow storm almost got me.

We had record overnight low temperatures here but no snow. And it will be 80 degrees in a couple of days.

Crazy, freakin' weather!

Sorry WHG, but I'm loving the snow! I didn't know if the forecast was going to be right on the snow fall, but I was happy it was!

We got snow most of the day but it's already melted for the most part. Temps are supposed to climb tomorrow. So hopefully this is the last of it.
