OMG.

Don't write it off as a teen novel. It is that too..but don't dismiss it.

Sorry. You're gonna need some tissues. I'm not into the tear jerkers. Read this book.

TFIOS is awesome but then again anything that John Green writes is. I have read every book he has ever published & highly recommend his video blog

DD17 insisted I read it. Good lord, I cried like a baby, but we had great discussions about the book while driving back and forth to practice. Don't read it in public

I enjoyed this book as well! I hope the movie doesn't ruin it, but I've heard good things about it so far!

Didn't know there was going to be a movie, glad I read the book first! I really liked it, no tears though

I just started this book and it is set in my town and features a park I just chaperoned my 3rd graders class at. Small world but I'm going to keep reading.

My son's girlfriend got him to read this and he never reads. Then she urged me to read it. I finished it last night. So sad yet positive in many ways.

We live in Indianapolis so the we enjoyed all of the local references.

It's a good read.

Just read this at DD's insistence. It was beautiful. DD has already seen the movie and wants to see it again so we're going to go see it.

I'm prepared to cry the whole way through it!

Ok I'm an avid reader, but I have enough drama in my life to not need to read a book that will cause me distress.

My 15 yo read it, and I thought I was going to have to take her to the hospital she was so upset. She keeps urging me to read it, and I have declined so far. She also said the movie was super. That it stayed true to the book, and was well done....

You will cry, a lot, but it is very worth it. So very well written. I think you will be glad you read it.

ETA: I think she wants to share the experience with you. That book is an experience. Read it.

I found it touching, but didn't cry either.
We must BOTH be defective, LOL.

The part that I came closest to crying was the "gas station" section.

I read this in one day. I laughed and cried all in the same paragraph. I've heard the movie is pretty good too but I haven't watched it.
