Yesterday, I was incredibly excited about an opportunity from a very good friend of mine. I had texted WH in all caps about the opportunity, to show my excitement on the topic. His response was "lol" and basically a very indifferent response, shooting down the idea. The interesting part was that he had actually suggested the idea several months ago. However, there is this pattern of when things are my idea, he automatically says no. He needs a couple of days to process the information before he can get excited. But I was so excited about this and it hurt so much for him to automatically say that it isn't going to work. He later told me how we could make it work, with some switching of plans, but the damage was done. He didn't mirror my excitement. I said some hurtful things about saying I want to go with someone else, someone that will be excited about the situation. His response was that he does want to go and it is exciting. I don't know if it ties with his negative attitude of things (he deals with overcoming depression), but it is so frustrating to be automatically shut down, even if he gets excited for it a day later. He is very supportive once the shock of change is over. Argh. I am upset with him for not getting excited immediately. Anyone else have to take in information before you can get excited about it? Thanks for listening.

Gotta admit I am slow to get excited about things that are big or require change. Doesn't mean he isn't excited over all. Sometimes people just take a little time to process things. I hope this encourages you to take it as a positive. After all he did get excited once the idea set in....this has to be worth something.
I never realized you could be in this much pain and not be dying.
