Well, I had my ACL surgery last Thursday, and it went well! I went to the doctor today to have the dressings changed, and he was very pleased - everything looking good, skin looks good, and almost no swelling! I start PT on Friday.

I tore my ACL back on November 19th and have been in a holding pattern. Now, at last, I can start to get better!

And Subway is finally agreeing to pay my medical bills related to this injury (I slipped on wet floor where they had mopped and not put out the Wet Floor sign). They were being quite uncooperative got a couple of months.

So things are going well! Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers and mojo. You guys are great. :)

I'm so glad Subway is owning this! I'm really glad the surgery went well too! Sending good thoughts for PT.

Yippee!!!!

That is one surgery they have figured out how to do, and do right, and recover people back to their pre injury, or better than preinjury state.

Keep up the good work.

Glad to hear Subway is doing the right thing as well......I'm sure they realized paying your bills was a lot cheaper than having the 40K+ of us all boycotting them.

I'm glad the surgery and healing are going well. It's good that they are taking responsibility with the medical bills. Did you lose any pay during this time? If so, you may want to discuss this with them.

Great to hear that the surgery went well and that Subway is reimbursing you.

I hope you heal quickly!

Thanks, y'all!

Can you believe Subway didn't even comp our meals when the injury happened and we had to call EMTs to carry me and put me into our car????

I have indeed lost pay. I was moonlighting at Starbucks part time. Starbucks is astoundingly physical, although you might never guess it. Tons of lifting, carrying, squatting, etc (all those things you cannot do with a torn ACL or tight after knee surgery). SBUX, however, is a great company. I'm on short term disability. It's a pittance, but it's far better than nothing.

We've engaged a personal injury attorney who feels that we have an extremely strong case under the circumstances (employee admitted he had mopped and not put out the Wet Floor sign).
