I'll miss Jay Leno. Always loved the monologue and headlines. I do like Jimmy Fallon, I'll give him a chance.

That was an emotional goodbye...made me cry. Loved that he had Garth for the last show.

I'm not a big Jimmy Fallon fan, so not sure what I'll watch late at night any more. I might actually have to go to bed.

It was quite a send off. I'll miss my nightly routine I had with him for years.

I like Jimmy, I think he'll do the show justice, just hate that its moving to NY instead of staying in Burbank.

Seth Myers will fail...that's my prediction and hope

I didn't really watch Jay but I still found his goodbye emotional.
I do love Fallon though and I am sure he will do a wonderful job too.

..enjoyed Leno for years.. but it did start to get old and tired.. predictable..

..loved Johnny Carson even more..

(some of you are saying: who's Johnny Carson!!!)

..nothing stays the same.. Leno can now devote all his time to his massive car collection..

..I don't stay up that late anymore very often .. usually in bed..with my wife!!

I loved jay and thought he interacted best with his guests of any night time hosts. He also seems the most down to earth, despite being worth a reported $300 million.

I like Jimmy too. Took awhile for him to grow on me, but he's a showman.

My top Tonight Show memories...

Woody Allen one New Year's Eve, before he made his first movie, doing his moose hunting routine as if it were a true story - I don't remember if that was with Paar or Carson.

Carson and Bob Newhart in the late '60s - Carson saying something like, 'I hear you just finished a movie ... Newhart: 'Uh...no....' Newhart kept dropping everything Carson threw at him until Carson and the audience realized what was going on. The audience's laughter was nervous at first, but very quickly W & I were laughing so hard we almost fell out of bed. Carson almost fell out of his chair, IIRC.

Leno last night - Billy Crystal was great, not sure I can describe my response to Garth's 1st song here, Leno's commitment to comedy were very moving, as was his words about the staff....

BTW, I believe the end of the show requires NBC to pay the staff through the end of the year.

The show I wish I had seen was George Burns telling stories about him and Jack Benny that had everyone I knew talking about it the next day.
