I AM DONE!!!!! Except for a few more things for the kids and H.

I was blessed to have Saturday all to myself, H and DS gone hunting, and DD with a friend. I left the house at 8:30 am, and returned at 4:30pm, and have it done!!!! It is such a great feeling, I haven't really enjoyed the time before Xmas for a few years because it is so harried. This year, I can chill a bit, and am so much more looking forward to it.

I am going to give myself this gift every year from now on.

We are almost done too. 3 or 4 more things, stocking stuffers and that's about it . I wanted to be done by the 1st for the exact reason you mentioned. Life is busy as it is, and it doesn't get any less busy as the holidays approach. I hate stressing and running out to the mall. So I am almost there and can relax soon.

My Hanukkah shopping was done in October!!! To be fair, I had to give the gifts on Wednesday.... so I guess I kinda had to get done.

But we don't exchange tons of gifts either. Usually just a couple of nice things.

I am now almost done. I have one more thing to buy ds and then purchase a few stocking stuffers. A grandmother gave me a brand new book. The kind you record so the child has the book read to them. I have to find someone the kids dont know who can do the recording.

Then a gift for my childhood friend.

A small gift for dd's bff and ds' s friend of the last three years.

Teachers gifts.

This is the smallest christmas the kids will have had, but it seems to involve the most work

First of all- CONGRATS to all of you are done. I agree it is the best gift you can give yourself.

I had a hideous Oct/Nov that resulted in $1000s of unplanned costs so I am at the starting gate with the shopping.

Thoughts from SIers (mods in particular)- is it possible to share "awesome deals" on here or is that against the rules. A collective input on "did you see this deal" might help those of us still shopping out. And for those of us with a really tight budget it could be that much more helpful.

Thoughts?

YAY! I too am just about done - thank you COSTCO! Just need to get my nieces, mom, and in-laws out of the way and it's over!

There are deals everywhere - seriously, EVERYWHERE. I heard on the news that retailers are going to continue with the deep discounts through December.

It is ok to have a thread that shares which retailers have good deals. If you have your own store/online store, you are not able to post about it. Please follow the No Soliciting guidelines below.

This includes threads with links to other relationship sites and charities and self serving voting sites, social networking, etc. If you have a product, service or Website you believe to be in the interest of SI.com, please contact an Administrator.
