Please have a safe trip and allow extra time if your driving. I was just reading that the storm that dumped snow and ice out west will be on the east coast just in time for Thanksgiving.

Here's one link I was reading about the storm

http://www.accuweather.com/en/weather-news/thanksgiving-travel-northeast/20290344

For me, one picture looks like heavy rain then another picture looks like 1-3 inches of snow.

Please have a safe trip.

Thank you sd. I second that.

I made it to my destinations safely, but not without frayed nerves. I witnessed a roll-over accident that sent large items flying in my direction. Only missed it by a matter of 3 or so seconds. It was caused by too much speed on an icy bridge surface. The driver was disoriented and appeared to me to maybe have injuries even tho others at the scene said he was "fine".

Please remember that bridge surfaces can be frozen and icy even if the road appears and feels fine.

You can bet I slowed down after witnessing that and such a close call and most of the other drivers around me seemed to also have gotten the message.

I experienced some black ice last night. We're supposed to get snow tonight, followed by rain, followed by sleet and freezing rain, followed by snow, followed by rain, ending in snow squalls.

Luckily, I only have to go to work.

I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.

OMG, tbh! That must have been so scary. I'm glad you're all right. I hope the driver of the roll-over vehicle is fine.

That's some crazy weather, Sad. Hopefully the roads are still covered to protect them from the sleet and freezing rain. That's one good thing when it snows before the ice.
