1985, I definitely meant that as a compliment to you and MW. It means you are the ultimate survivors of one of life's most devastating blows, and proof that something great can come from something bad. Hell, I admire WB and TC for making it to two years - just a couple of weeks ago I was ready to pull the plug at 9.5 months. It shows a sincere effort. You are all R heroes, for sure.

Thanks, and Happy Holidays to you as well.

Sal, I guess my humor is too dry. I was joking. I knew you meant it as a compliment. Thanks

I saw it that way, 1985! Tone doesn't always translate in cyber space.

OK, we have our jjct-with-a-young-babe pic. It's officially a Menz thread now.

Although I'd still like to see a pic of jjct with a big frosty cold one in some Austin hangout.

I figured that was what happened over there.

No worries mate.. I still view you as the poster child of what happens when you are simply comfortable in your own skin.

I bow to the master.

No beer friday for me, got some kind of shitty head cold and want it gone asap, had to take days off so I got no work next week. Every fucking time this happens I am too sick to go do anything. Not this fucking year. Even if I am I will drag my dead ass out somewhere zombie style just to revel in it. Wife has work, kids have school, so I have no idea wtf to do with myself but I swear it will A) not be productive and B) involve the outdoors in some way, even if it means driving around blasting Maiden with the windows down in 15 degree weather.

You hear that nature? Fuck you.

I should probably go back to bed.

Right there with you on the head cold SG. Sucks. But - blasing maiden while giving ma nature a collective middle finger sounds like fun. Count me in.

Gotta agree SG. Bad head cold like ain't no time for beer. That's whiskey drinking time. I like the way you think. I'm sure nature can handle a little Maiden...it kinda survived the medieval times once before . I can see you driving around like the Kurgan

Cheers Gentlemen,

I read the stories of R, positive and negative and it fascinates me. I know for a fact STBX would never be strong enough to satisfy the requirements. I'm thankful every day she didn't give me the option because it would've been a waste of time in my case. I'm not sure I could've forgiven her anyhow. No kids makes it easier too I guess.
Fresh start for me. Can't wait. And you are all invited to the beach if you need to get away. No questions asked. Especially jjct as long as you bring friends

Cheers

DefeatedDad - The store I went to today didn't have Tamnavulin. I do have my eye out for that one now, though. Thanks for the recommendation.

Glad you enjoyed the Monkey Shoulder, Numb!

Relaxing after my last work day of the year, having a Highland Park 12yo single malt. Not bad.

Third anniversary of d-day #1 is done and over with, and the anniversary of d-day #2 is coming up in five days. Been having some unpleasant dreams that involved the Fat Bastard and such the last week or two, but other than that, doing okay. This year has overall been easier to deal with than the last two.

jjct. Looks like you are living it up! Love the pic!

Hope those that are ill are able to shake the shit off soon. Driving around with the windows down and Maiden cranking is definitely the best way to do it!

Hope all of you fellers are doing well tonight. Cheers!
