Thinking about just walking out of the house, going to a bar. Having a drink then coming home.

Are you okay? What's happening that you feel like you need a drink? I feel that way too sometimes, but just know you've been heard and we're here to listen and help.

We delivered cookies to people to cheer them up. Her idea as a service project at church. It's painful how nice she us to strangers and heartless to me. So I just don't want to be in the house.

I convinced myself to go to a friend's party this evening. I am taking another friend with me. We are all co-workers, so none of them know the details, but they know I'm in a bad place. The friend I am taking with me is funny, light hearted, and not a big drinker. He should keep things fun enough that I can keep my mind off things, but also won't be tempted to drink myself silly.
I just suggest grabbing a friend that you know can keep your mind off things for a bit. Not one that will ask, but one that will offer other conversation, just to keep you sane.
