I went out with friends last night. Good music to listen to, cold beer, meeting new people, catching up with people I've met before...and then a friend of one of my friends comes to talk with us. Nice young man. 33 years old. Sits next to me. He makes sure our legs touch. Buys a round. Flirts with me. OMG! Really? When that becomes clear to me, I laugh to myself. Really? Talk progresses, let's me know he would be happy to "do something" some time. I let him know that while I'm very flattered, nothing like that will occur. Ever. We hang out a little bit more after my friends leave. I give him a hug goodbye when I leave.

Wow. Not quite old enough to be his mother, but pretty damn close.

B4me still has it???

The young guy thing has surprised me these last few years. I'm almost 49 and most of the interest has come from men in their 20's and 30's. Not just online but IRL. I had to tell a 25 year old that I had a son almost his age

Your ex wanting to be friends is like asking a kidnapper to stay in touch when they let you go.

The type of fierce loyalty that I possess made me incapable of comprehending the level of disloyalty that he possessed
