There are woods behind my house (yes, we have woods in Jersey). Dark woods...light from the house...it's scary when the weather gets warm. Tonight something flew in that at first I thought was a mutant dragonfy. Then I thought it may be Mothra. But it could have been a moth/beetle/dragonfly/grasshopper/cricket hybrid. So I figured I'd give all of you my best bug killing advice. Especially flying bugs. Swiffer dry mop. It has a handle so you can reach those suckers. The end is flat for maximum killing surface area. I hate bugs...please don't turn this into a spider thread!

You need some bats. The kind with wings & echolocation. That's the best for nighttime bug control.

Brown bats are very common around here. I think the woods may be too dense for them behind my house.

I killed that sucker last night and vacuumed it up. Now I'm scared to empty the vacuum and see it.

What color was it. Did it have wings?

Be brave. Be curious. Look and see who you are sharing the world with.

It had wings and when it flew it looked like this ><. When it landed on the wall it looked like it had legs like a spider and longer body. It was dark brown/black.

I can't be brave about bugs. They make me cry...literally. I don't mind sharing the world. I'd just prefer if that world didn't come into my kitchen!

LOL it's gonna be ok TCD. You are bigger than them, you are smarter than them, you will be able to take em out.

Being a bee keeper we get rid of nuisance bees (wasps, hornets, yellow jackets) too. Since we have the protective gear. The only they have us beat at is speed. I usually do ok with stealth attacks.

My H is insane though he even does the big scary bald faced hornet nests, you know the ones like in the cartoons that hang in a tree and are gray and football shaped? Yah I refuse to particpate in that. Those suckers, are mean, vicious, fast, and smart!!!!
