WH and I used to watch alot of stuff together prior to A. We'd dvr stuff and watch a tv series a few nights a week. Just before d-day we were in the middle of Madmen (Adulterers-R-Us) and True Blood (Gratuitous-Sex-Scenes-R-Us) so those are now out. Does anyone have good any non-triggering TV series ideas? We have Netflix and HBOGO so it doesn't necessarily have to be current.

And, will we every be able to just watch whatever we want again? UGH.

We like humor. Not infidelity humor. Can't go wrong with impractical jokers. I laugh so hard, I end up crying at the end of that.

We watch cooking shows: chopped, master chef, and kitchen nightmares are awesome, especially if you like watching Ramsay yell and freak out at people (we think it is hilarious).

On netflix, I like drop dead diva (so mad it got cancelled) and Keeping up Appearances (it's a british comedy show...absolutely hilarious, even if you aren't in love with british humor).

For more serious drama type shows, we really like under the dome so far, and we also like Rookie Blue (proceed with caution...we have been watching this one for a while and there MAY have been some cheating in a prior season, but it was not triggering for me, and there definitely is not any infidelity storylines going on in this season).

I have been cheated on by 3 different men, and I have more DDays than anyone ever should. I am here, just trying to pickup the pieces.

At least the current man "only" cyber-cheated.

Funny, I just posted about Breaking Bad. I used to LOVE madmen too. OW knew it and one of her texts to my H three years ago was "how was madmen"

So..We watch Breaking Bad, and Ray Donavon. HOWEVER WARNING Ray D is a cheater (the situation is not similar to mine so I don't trigger). Other than that, there is not much out there that doesn't involve affairs

Good luck finding something current to watch. I can no longer watch certain series due to their content. Both cheating and violence literally make me shake and I avoid both. Try Monk on Netflix. A good series with no sex or violence. I find myself watching a lot of old tv like The Waltons. No sex or violence there. Also, the History Channel and PBS have a lot of good shows where nothing is too graphic. And they have so many good documentaries. It's really not fair how affairs change us like they do. It involves far, far more than having 'only shared our spouse' with an AP.

The key is watching channels farther up on the programming list. ;-)

Seriously though, the history channel has some great shows like Modern Marvels, and Mysteries at the Museum. The Discovery channel has some great shows about nature and what not. Planet Earth, North America, those are all beautifully shot and cost a small fortune on DVD (so we DVR them while they are on for free!). HGTV has some shows that are awesome if you're into house decorating, cooking, or house hunting. We like Ice Road Truckers, any show that has the word "Wars" in it like Storage Wars, Shipping Wars, etc. etc. There's a show about Airplane Repo men, pretty interesting watching them steal those planes. America's Got Talent is always good. I'm looking forward to Michael J. Fox's new show.

I know there's more, but it's a start. Just look at other channels and you'll be amazed at what healthy, wholesome stuff is out there. Oh, and of course, there's Duck Dynasty. You'll never find infidelity on that show, plus they are hilarious!

It's almost fall and some new shows look promising on the fall line up that you might want to check out:

-Brooklyn nine-nine
-Agents of SHIELD
-The Goldbergs
-Sleepy Hollow (for anyone who likes something a little scary)

Plus there will be a new season of American Horror Story (which is my favorite show ever, I know it's not everyone's cup of tea). Each season is completely different and unrelated to the previous season. First season had an affair, but the affair was NOT glorified at all and the OW DIES which is awesome. Last season, it took place in an insane asylum, and there was no infidelity of any kind that I can remember. This season it has to do with the Salem Witch Trials.
And my other FAV show: the walking dead is coming back!!!

Doctor Who!

Really, all other shows (besides Top Gear) have been ruined for me because Doctor Who is so good. Except for Sherlock, that's just amazing as well.

Some shows I'm watching now:

Under the Dome
Once Upon a Time
Hannibal

I also really liked 24 and Lost, but I watched those before the A and can't remember if it had infidelity in it. Dexter is good, but has one season of infidelity and a little nudity. I cover my WS's eyes during the bad scenes.

There's not many dramas out there that don't somehow touch on infidelity, so we stick with the comedies and reality tv. Modern Family is one of my favorites and Parks and Recreation is one of the cutest, smartest shows on. It's like The Office back when it was funny... If you have Netflix ou can start from the first season...
I hate that I can't watch most of my pre-A shows (True Blood, Nurse Jackie) without triggering...

Netflix
Dexter
Breaking Bad
Roswell
Prison Break
24

PBS
Cooking shows have been comforting. I love America's Test Kitchen.
Frontline and other non infidelity documentaries- Netflix has quite a few of these too.

My fav movie is You've got mail but I couldn't watch it due to online and secretive nature of Meg and Tom's start up.

Borgia caused terrible triggers.

"Lie to Me" With Tim Roth. It is a company who can spot lies from body language and facial expressions.

It is a real thing. "truth through applied psychology: interpreting microexpressions, through the Facial Action Coding System, and body language.

It is on Netflix. It is a drama but I saw it as educational.

Mostly I would watch comedies. We would read descriptions of movies before watching them and if there were signs of infidelity we wouldn't watch them. Sucks cause infidelity is everywhere... songs, tv shows, movies. I was watching our favorite tv show and a couple episodes had infidelity in it. I turned it off and didn't go back to it. My MC suggested I didn't avoid them. I couldn't do that at first. I wasn;t emotionally there. But he suggested not to seek shows with infidelity but if we are watching one allow myself to feel my emotions and process through them. Talk about it later but to not allow myself to avoid them. Cause they are everywhere. Mostly I think he wanted me to heal and cope with my emotions rather than run and avoid it. Like I said took my like 9 month after DDay to get there. But parts of me still gets mad when I see or hear about infidelity.

My favorite is The Amazing Race.
a "reality-show" but without all the drama, no voting people off, etc. My 73yo mom is hooked on it, too.

I am not much of a tv person. DH use to watch a lot of tv but now we just don't watch tv. We cuddle up together and talk, about our day, what is going on the next day, plans for the future anything and everything. However, we do watch Duck Dynasty and Grimm and there was some show on last season about aliens or something that he liked. As long as it is si-fi type stuff it doesn't bother me and I can always grab a book to read. When he is working nights I will turn on nick at night or tv land and watch old sitcoms until I fall asleep, usually about 10 mins. I use to be a HUGE Days of our lives fan, not anymore!

I love Psych. It is the highlight of my week when it is in season. You can watch them on netflix.

BeyondBreaking: Drop dead diva is still on. I don't think it was cancelled. I just finished watching the latest. I love that show.

I even trigger on the dome with any sex between non married people. I struggle a lot with that.
