I was never flirtatious whatsoever prior to my A. In fact, one of the main draws to my wife was the fact that I was comfortable talking to her. I could talk to me like she was someone I knew for years and years, right off the bat. I can be rather outgoing and I'm a real ball-buster ( I dish it out and take it equally). But it takes me time to open up. I am cery fearful of being ridiculed or criticized, so I take some time, analyze the people around me, see what their interests are and just if I get the vibe that I can be myself around them. If I can't be myself, then I'd rather just keep away than be phony. Like I mentioned in the post about cirtual hugs, my A could never have happened without the pseudo-anonymity of text messages, hence my aversion to virtual hugs, emoticons and the like. To this day, my wife is pretty much the only woman I am truly comfortable talking to and being myself. It's too bad I went and fucked that all up.

I know we're worth it.
