LOL OW's husband told me that she was bad with finances as well. He said she was in a bad place when he met her and had to dig her out. I am a saver (I'm an accountant too). We never had the same bank accounts because of his spending habits and back taxes (didn't want the IRS taking from mine). He also gambles high stakes (found that out the night before he left). He said he wouldn't take any of my savings. I also bought my house before we were married so he doesn't have claim to it. He said he wouldn't take any of the equity in it either. He also left me all the furniture except one television. I think the guilt was eating away at him and didn't want to hurt me anymore than he had. Plus he just likes spending money so went out and bought all new furniture for 700 Sq. ft., $1,700/month condo that he is only at 2 weeks out of the month because he works offshore. Dummy!
