Sending you stregth. I have been where you are at. they cut thru all my tendons to the bone to get it all out of my leg. So far I have been good that was about 9 years ago. I need to go back and get checked. Mine looked like a freckle so I get wired when I see a strange one.
You will be sore but it is all so worth it. Many prayers to you.

Thank you for continued hugs, prayers and good thoughts.

The trip to see my father and his wife went surprisingly well considering.

Of course they are concerned, but it's a big relief for me that they now know and will continue to be updated as I move forward in whatever process is coming my way. It means that I can now widen my support group and not feel limited in who I can tell. It takes an army to fight and I'm gathering my troops.

I had an ultrasound yesterday so the readioligist surgeon knows what he's dealing with next week. They have booked both a CT and ultrasound for the abdominal biopsies now scheduled for next Wednesday - I guess they will decide which gives them a better image to guide them to the area.

More blood work for the vampires before then...why don't they listen when I tell them to go for the left arm as the viens are better? lol

I've got my morning mantra as my new sig line and I have a friend who's self appointed posiiton on my team is to make me laugh everyday.

Some of my co-workers gathered in my office yesterday and gave me a cozy fleece jacket - for when I feel cold, alone and need a hug and they are not with me...the also gave me a cactus - for when the non supportive, unempathetic folks invaded my space...I'm to politely tell them they are not being helpful and that I'd rather hug my cactus I giggle looking at it and am just waiting to use the line lol.

I'm finding something in every day for now.

Well, I made it through the week! lol No small feat as work was busy and really didn't have time to think about things too much.

My laugh a day has been doing just that. Haven't had to hug the cactus yet which is very good news.

Relaxing with a glass or two of red later and then tomorrow picking up my kitty - who I haven't seen since I moved back in August. She's coming to live with her mama

Hopefully the sun is out this weekend and I can get out for some picture taking too.

Thanks everyone - hope you enjoy your weekend.

Abdominal biopsy was this morning - quick and painless. A bit of tenderness now - like I did crunches on one side only lol.

Very surprised at the technique - they went through the "structures" in the way (liver and pancreas) to get to the nodes for the biospy They used ultrasound to guide and monitored a couple of times with the CT.

Only light sedation and local for the insertion site. I was out by 9 and released at 10...and getting a mocha by 10:05 lol - lord I missed my coffee in the morning.

Having my kitty back has been wonderful She was a bit scared the first afternoon but that evening she remembered our old bedtime routine and was her usual sucky self for the pets and chin scratches. She's been getting more playful and less skitterish each day.

A bit of a wait now for results but lots to keep me busy. Plenty of family and folks sending support and love - it's all felt.

Thank you

(((Lighthouse)))

My dad had one on his back removed years ago. He caught it early so they were able to remove it with clean margins and no spreading.
My cousin had one on her hip in her early 30's...which she let go for a long time unfortunately and she's had to go through various treatments over the years. The key with melanoma is early detection which is sounds like is the case for you.
Hope you are surrounding yourself with lots of love and support...
