My dog knocked over my bowl of scrambled eggs once and ate them. I was shocked. I had no idea dogs even liked eggs. I'm eating a hard boiled one right now and he's begging to get it.

Is it safe for me to give him eggs? he's Chihuahua.

I give my dogs eggs all the time. Its great for their coat and they love the flavor.
A couple of eggs per week and I notice that my big shedders (lab and german shep) shed a lot less.

The eggs are fine. Stuff people sometimes put in them can be a bad idea. Onions and garlic, for example, are bad for dogs.

I crack a plain raw egg and mix it into their kibble. They lick their bowls clean!

There is whole egg in the puppy kibble I just bought and it's a really healthy premium food.

Eggs have a lot of fat and protein. For such a small dog, I would not give more than 1/4 egg a week or so. Remember that dogs are easily over fed and it's hard for them to take the weight off.

Eggs are fine for dogs and have lots of great vitamins.

We used to feed our dog steamed white rice and scrambled egg when he had stomach issues... That's what the vet recommended.

Worked great.

click, I've got two Chi's and they love eggs, scrambled or fried. I always give them a little from my plate, they are both beggars, the female dances on her hind legs for more. I've never heard of any problems with them eating eggs.

My dog gets one egg a day (with her meds in it).

I do not add anything to it....just crack one egg, mix a little and put it in the microwave for about 45 seconds - ta-da!

She is old (13) and not overweight so the vet is ok with it.
