.. it's now officially Friday. What kind of beer are you all drinking this weekend?

Cheap, cold and domestic. Sometimes it is quality not quantity. However this weekend is not one of those times.

PS- Good to see you down here again Losfer.

ETA: I may have started a little too early

ETA # 2: Yeah definitely started too early.

Sure, my BS learned to live with it all of those years, but I want something better for mysel...I mean, for *us*."

Exactly. I asked my wife what she meant when she said she did not want to go back to the way things were before dDay.

Yes, I was giving her a pop quiz.

I was curious as to whether she would specifically mention meeting my needs or working on her habit of assuming the worst in me. But, what I received back was all about her needs being met. Even when her use of terms such as "we" are "our" might indicate it was two sided, she was really talking about what she wanted for herself.

Hey, Numb!

Some times cheap and easy is the way to go. That's why I keep a suitcase of Coors on hand, in case of emergencies.

Right now I have a keg of homebrewed watermelon wheat beer waiting for me in the beer fridge. I'll be pouring a cold frosty one pretty soon myself.

I am thinking several Corona lights are in order for this weekend! And some Golf!

Hell, it's 2:00 here, and I completely don't give a shit about work. Thinking of skipping out at 3 to go see pacific rim.----Yes, I know it will be terrible, but with the wife and kids up in Washington..now is my time to enjoy terrible movies!

By the way WAL, that post last page was pretty damn solid.

I need to buy some beers, ran out last night. It'll either be Heinekens for the taste, or Miller Lites for the waist.

The only time I've drunk Heineken and liked it was sitting on a hostel in Berlin about a mile from Alexanderplatz Station.

I'm a Guinness guy. If you don't have Guinness, then I'm somebody's designated driver, so start making the coffee.

(I like my coffee like I like my women: shoved in a burlap sack and kept in a cool, dry cellar.)

Give us a heads up on Pacific Rim, wonderboy. My kids are intrigued, but I haven't decided whether or not it's better to wait for it to show up at the drive-in.

Of course, I dig the shit out of the drive-in, so they could show My Little Pony and I'd be up for it.

HT:
Magic Eyes = Magic Cum in Your Eye.
Nice rewrite! You just know that traffic in heaven was caused because some wayward was to trying to find a good angle to show off her new "Sharon Stone" skirt for her Poser. And while flicking through the samples took her eye off the road and jumped an embankment.

That's why we tell guys to start working on themselves in the way *they* choose. Your WW isn't going to convert to a fully-formed human being overnight. At this moment in your life, when you need support and kindness and understanding more than you ever have or probably ever will again, your wife will be incapable of giving you that. You've *got* to learn to self-soothe and restore your own self-esteem and healing

^^^^ Once again, headed to the mountain to do some light meditation.

What kind of beer

Polygamy Porter's this weekend I believe. THEE best porter I have ever had.
watermelon wheat beer
My stomach hurts just thinking about it. Not your brewing but the watermelon. Is it good? seems like a odd taste combination.

Guinness

Wished I could still find the cans around here. The ones with the widget to shake up and get the good head (wished there was a different word for it, saying head when referring to me beer makes me feel all weird). Can only find bottles around here and just doesn't taste the same.

I let you know on the movie. I'm pretty sure it will be better than most My Little Pony episodes. Although, we'll see.

I also have a stomach ache from thinking about watermelon wheat beer. Man-card check?

Guys have had their man-cards pulled for less. But we all slip up from time to time. This can be remedied by a stern reprimand and a few shots of Jack.

Is it good?

I like it. Most of the sweetness of the watermelon fermented out, and (thankfully) all of the color. So basically it looks and tastes like a Hefeweizen, with a slight watermelon aftertaste.

I'll keep my man card, since I made the beer myself, thank you!

I gotta say, you are allowed to drink any damn booze you want and keep your card, so long as you made it from scrath. Since you brewed it yourself, even if it had kept the watermelon color and you decided to drink with an umbrella stuck in it, cards safe.

Oh wal, you are gonna get the wimmenz upset about here again... I suppose at least you didn't say finely ground in the freezer.

ETA: I may have started a little too early

Never. You can't drink all day unless you start at 7am. Just some cold Bud Lites for me...gotta watch that boyish figure.

And WAL - I'm so going to use that without giving you credit. For one, it would be just to hard to explain..."well, there's this guy on SI who is fairly savvy...what is SI? Oh, it's a forum for keeping your sanity after you get gutted by your wife...". Nah, I'll act like I made it up myself.

Waiting for the reviews on Pac Rim good looking! Might want to take my son to it.

Alright. Typing from my iPhone, so tough shit if I make spelling errors. (My computer is several states away).

I loved pacific rim. For what it was. Huge robots beating the shit out if huge aliens. No character development whatsoever who has time for that when you are destroying Hong Kong? Bad acting...who cares...huge robots don't gotta get all emotional and shit.

So as far as seeing a movie with no logic, no character development, and mediocre acting...this movie is Fricking sweet, and I really enjoyed it.

I am raiding my house-host's kids room for Lincoln logs. I gotta build a city and then smash the shit out of it!

Self-soothe. Didn't even know what that was. So right. Gotta do it.
I got into watching U 571 during the 1st, over and over. Great movie.
For the 2nd ex, it was King Arthur. I liked that one, because it didn't have the trigger of Lancelot/ Guinevere (thank you!) & Stellan Skarsgård!
That is the very name of badass!

Losfer, I've been wondering...is it rare to find wild hops? I've seen it all over this piece of land I've been looking at. (I think it's "Texas hops")

Reminder there's a gtg 'round these parts in late September.
I have room for 1 or 2, pm me.
We will drink some Big Bark!
