An old neighbor of mine has been collecting Lincoln logs for years. When we lived by each other I remember him going to garage sales and picking them up really cheap.
I talked to him today and he told me he's gonna give them to his grandkids. He says he has between 15 and 20 thousand pieces now. It took 6 big totes to pack them all.
I had them when when I was a kid--but never had that many
Is anybody else here a collector of toys from your childhood?

Legos but not that much

Think of the haters in your life as sandpaper; they’ll scratch you up time and time again but in the end you’re polished, smooth, and spotless..while they end up useless

I've been collecting promotional models since I was a kid and my Grandma who worked for Chrysler PR gave me a set from 1967. There were more at one time, but she gave them to my brothers who destroyed them

They're plastic. The dealers used to give hem out or sell them back in the day

They're still cool.

I had a neighbor that was buying the steel ones for about $35 a piece. Too much money for me---but still nice.

I have my Boy Scout Handbook from age 11 and the car my neighbor gave me for my 16th birthday - a white MG-A, about 1.5 inches long.

Also the first records (LPs and some Elvis 45s) I ever bought at age 13.

A few months ago I bought a bunch of Lincoln Logs for my Grandson. He wouldn't know what to do with 6 bags, but my son probably would.

My mother saved my She-ra toys and the old-school Little People playsets. My kids love them!
