Hmm.

March? Maybe? I'll have to look at finances because I'm also trying to plan a trip to Disney in October for the posse.

Hmm.

TR...I'm not sure what that is, but I think I want it

It turns your pool green for St. Patty's day, like they do with the Chicago River:

Just looked at Travelocity. It might be doable.

I usually get myself a car, but in order to be frugal, do you think I could get along without one or should I plan for it?

Also, hotels? Any suggestions or I could just plan to sleep on a floatie in your new pool. That would work for me.

Crying, I don't know that you'd need a car while you are here. As far as hotels, we stayed at the "hotel that will remain nameless" last time and it was really nice. They provided free breakfast and evening wine/beer. I don't know if somebody plans on trying to get us a group discount. I think we need 10 rooms to get that, but I'd be happy to look into it for us.

I don't know that you'd need a car while you are here.

It's a thing I have. I don't like feeling dependent or *gasp* stranded.

Although I'm willing to try it. Gotta save up my pennies for Disney.

just throwing this out there - there's a really cool restaurant that does breakfast with live music that MH told us about at the Christmas card/elf party. turns out we didn't end up at the location he told us about, but the one we ended up at was still pretty good. the one we were supposed to go to is probably that much better.

anyway, this is my round-about way of suggesting this place would be good for either a Saturday or Sunday late morning meal, depending on everyone's travel plans.

naturally, I don't remember the name of the place, though.

Walking...I'll get you both added

As for hotel arrangements...the one everyone stayed at last year appears to be booked...but I'm going to call around the area and see what others are available and if we can get a group discount

Oh, how I'd love to come out there....why couldn't this have come up when I lived on the W side of Lousyanna?

Unfortunately, from here it's 750+ miles, which puts it out of striking range. I know you all will have a blast, wish I could join you! (the fact that I know the rough mileage tells you I checked!)

The hotel that we used last year isn't sold out. I'm going to call my contact today to see if we can get a block of rooms so a discount will apply to those that are staying there...I'll keep you posted

My H is on the fence... How close is the Alamo? That might sway him!

About 4 hours away

We have far better things here in The Woodlands then the Alamo!
