Anyone else read this? What did you think.

I loved the premise, was a little bit disappointed in the turn it took part way through but kind of like how it ended.

The life of every man is a diary in which he means to write one story, and writes another; and his humblest hour is when he compares the volume as it is with what he vowed to make it.

I recently read this book and I enjoyed it as it was quite different to other books I have read. I rated it 4 out of 5, as it wasn't one I couldn't put down but I did enjoy reading it.

I liked the ending too.

The superhuman effort it took sometimes to be normal, and a part of things that appeared both easy and everyday. The loneliness of that

One of my favorite lines

I'm very much at the beginning of the book. Have to confess I'm being drawn to books with older protagonists, as I'm growing older. It's rather hard for me to identify with lots of the current fiction out there!

Some stories are ageless, I know that, but I like to think when I finish a book and with aging, there's lots to face and lots to think about.
