I have really hopped aboard this Peace train. I am in year 3 of my divorce. I have brought my massousse (spelling?) To give you all a massage. I also have a large collection of tropical plants and flowers including tulips!

Ahhhh......so good to be on the train today.

Even though, here in Chicago there is more than 6 inches of snow falling!

Sipping my Margarita...

Looking at mixed nastiness for weather in NY. Sitting by a lovely fire, sipping snoodle doodle coffee.

Lovely evening, I'd say.

The fire sounds so wonderful. That is one of my great loves....indoor or out.

Well HELLO!!!

I have been on the platform for a very long time just getting myself together before hopping on for a new destination.

Lots has happened since I was last here. I got a new job (well it is a "new" job back at my old company but anyway ) I am now official DIVORCED from Sir Shagalot as of last Friday. I am not quite used to that word yet "divorced, divorced, divorced, divorced, divorced"........OK it's starting to not sound so bad.

I started an Advanced Diploma of Arts (Professional Writing) a few weeks ago so now I really have to watch my spelling! Hopefully I will come out of it qualified to be an Editor, Author, Playwright (or something). I can then just sit in my comfy armchair in my twilight years, listening to "Muse" and writing bad porn.

My eldest son is now engaged, my middle son is just graduated from the Army Reserves and my 14 year old is rapidly turning into a young woman.

I still have sound really lousy days but they are getting fewer. Onwards and forwards as they say. Where to next? Pick an exotic destination. Mine will be Tuscany, surrounded by plenty of wine, family and friends.

I can hear the whistle blowing....better jump on.

Ellejay xxxx

P.S. Hot as all hell in Adelaide today, quite uncomfortable actually but at least I have air-conditioning.

Love to all!!

Well, Riders of the Peace Train, time to bump the train to the top again.

Come aboard, and take a breather from the pain of the dark, deep forest.

Know you are moving through the forest, toward light.

If you need a posse, let us know.

Grab a boa, any color, have a cowboy hat and boots. Tissues available, in the form of Kittie Wipes. Perhaps tomorrow I will post a pic or two of current kittie wipes.

Rest your feet upon the Farting Doggies. Pics to be posted of them too.

And post your own! It's easy (if I can do it, anyone can...)

And old Riders, feel free to post and catch the riders up on what's happening...

Peace.

TJ

It feels like it might be spring outside this morning! My crocuses are up. I spotted a hyacinth too! Last year in the midst of D and trying to find a job, I let my yard and garden fall into disrepair. This year I'm getting back out there and taking it back.

Can you all meet me in the lounge? I need the kitty wipes, and must dig out the journals.

This time, for my mom. She passed away Sunday, May 5. She would have been 92 in June.

Of course, I smile and laugh through tears. My mom was a proper, teeny tiny, beautiful woman. Married 66 years, the hardest part is the loneliness of my dad. Time to somehow get him north with his family. Not an easy job.
Friday, gathering on beach to scatter a few ashes, walk the beach, gaze at the sunset.

These two educated most of eastern south florida about the green flash. When the sun, in just the rifht atmospheric conditions, sinks below the horizon of the west over the ocean, there is seen a lovely green flash for a second or two.

I hope mom sends us one Friday night.

TJ, I didn't see this thread when you posted about your mom. I'm sorry for your loss. How's your dad doing?

Thanks, Inconnu, for asking.

Dad is doing okay, better than he has since my mom lost herself to Alzheimers, but is terribly lonely. They were married almost 70 years....for better or worse! He is finally willing to come north again .

We have found a good place for him to live, assisted living that is a good place. Where he has been is quite awful.

So I am looking forward to spending time with my dad, something I have never been able to do so far in life!

Peace, all around us, if we look and feel.

Just popping back on for a while. Sorry to hear that you lost your Mom this year TJ

I'm still standing although it has been a long road. Thought it would be good to get the train moving again. I don't know what it is but every so often I feel I should jump back on either to give or receive some inspiration. Here's some positive words:

Love to all

Ellejay,

It was wonderful to hear from you via the Peace Train!

I am afraid my crazy life has interfered with doing many things I want and need to do.

Time to catch up.

Holidays are upon us. I do hope you, and all the oither survivors, ones we know and those many hundreds we don't know, are doing well. As an old man who lives in same assisted living as my dad says, I do reasonably well for someone who is 86...we do reasonably well for people who have had to redefine, find life and love among us, again, after a traumatic experience.

I'm happy and content with life, with my partner/fiancee, my new job (been on it one year now), and the plans for the future.

It's been a journey, and we just keep moving with it.

Happiest of holidays!

Check in, all.

TJ
