We're doing fantastic!

I haven't posted in ages, but today marks the one year anniversary of my husband returning from his deployment and us reclaiming our marriage.

We're attending MC and IC faithfully. We've had a hell of a year to say the least. The 1 year Anti-versary was a struggle but we got through it. Now that we have our first year under our belt, I'm feeling really good about things. He's been wonderful. Truly and seriously, wonderful. I, on the other hand, have been very hard on him but I'm learning to ease up. I no longer have the urge to vomit when ever his phone rings. I don't have full blown panic attacks when he's late coming home. (just mini ones!)

About 6 months ago, I woke up and the first thing I thought of was, "Damn..I hope I remembered to make the coffee last night!" It was one of the first times since Dday that I hadn't had my first thought of the day be related to the A. I still think about it, I'm pretty sure that's natural. But I don't dwell on it non-stop. I have my moments where I mull it over in my head. But it no longer consumes me or our marriage.

We're happy. We're in love. We're going in the right direction I think.

I would like to thank all of you who helped me get through the last 18 months. For listening to me whine, picking me up when all I wanted to do was curl up and cry. The great advice. The 2x4s that I so desperately needed and the safe place to have it all happen. You are all in my prayers every single day.

I remember the OW being upset about not getting the greeting of the day upon your H return.... Really?!

I am glad you are doing well and wish you continued success and growth in yourself and in the marriage.

Wishing you both the very best!

I don't respect anyone that can't spell a word more than one way:)

I am soooo soooo happy for you guys!!

The longer he continues to be good about R the easier it will be to not be so hard on him. It will come with time.
