That's awesome, Kwash!!!

I lost 3.1 lbs this week. I'm using Myfitnesspal to track the weight.

Way to go jo2love and Kwash!!
I love seeing people ahead of me successful. Gives me more motivation!

I haven't weighed in this week. This week was all about going back to small healthy changes. Doubled our veggie portions with dinner, chose lean meats etc. Eliminating any extra sugar has been hard but doable and I am back to skim milk in my coffee instead of cream. I drink a lot of coffee and was probably getting most of my daily calories and fat in cream

Dh and I are about to have turkey burgers for lunch. It is so nice to be doing this with him!! It used to be I would have to cook something else for everyone else and that's doable but hard.

Great job Kwash & jo2love!

If everyone is weighing in on Sunday then my loss this week was only .2, leaving me at 275.4 pounds.

Sigh. Not much, but I'll take it as the first loss of the new year.

Meta - I think that's awesome that Dh is making changes with you. I need that kind of family support or else I wolf down chips. DD is watching me like a hawk and encouraging me. I made sure she knows it's more about me lowering my cholesterol and getting healthy.

Crumbled - .2 is terrific! It's movement in the right direction. Take pride in it.

Ok I weighed in since last post. Down 2 pounds That's surprising actually because loss wasn't even a focus this week, just eliminating sugar, and changing our foods. I am going about this very very slowly and surely. This time losing weight is about what's in my head rather than what's going on with my body. I won't go wild and lose too fast.. just learning to eat properly.

Yay everyone!! .2 down is still DOWN!! Good for us - even if the scale doesn't move eating healthier and getting more exercise is a step in the right direction. Keep it up!

Would love to join in this thread - have put on an unprecedented 30 extra pounds this year due to a new medication, stopping smoking, darned menopause and cracked ribs.

Just waved off the last of the Christmas/ New Year guests yesterday, and spent the day cleaning out the fridge, cupboards and oven in readiness for a new regime.

Will be trying to keep on top of it calorie counting with MyFitnessPal.

Everybody's weight losses so far are very encouraging and motivating.

I weigh in on Sundays anyway, so these checkins will be a good fit.

I lost 1.4 this week, bringing my total to 13 pounds lost since October 15... my goal is 29 total (16 more!) by summer, ideally losing 1 per week.

I got back from vacation and was "only" up a couple lbs. (I feared it would be worse!) First few days back weren't great but I hadn't set any goals yet.

My goals for this week are to drink water - as much as I can, not eat in the evenings, and to stay away from french fries and chocolate.

Good luck everyone!

oh yippee! I found where on MFP you can go back and look at all your weigh-ins, so I did.

not that I needed to see it to know this, but oh yeah, I've been yo-yo-ing for the past 15 months.

I really need to get a handle on things.

Room for one more? I want to lose 50 lbs in a year. When I say it like that, I want to turn and run into a bag of chips! I have My fitness pal and will track food, exercise and weight there.
